Manage your Email List and Text List Memberships

Given the size of our club, we do a large fraction of our communication using automated means. The two most important are email lists, which are used for general information, and text messages, which are used for last-minute cancellations or changes.

Use the tools on this page to manage your subscriptions to our email and text message lists.

Email lists

Each season, we reconstruct the email subscription lists from scratch.  If you want to change an email address to which we send things, please just delete the email address using the link that comes in each message and resubscribe with the new address using the tool here. Additionally, you may add as many addresses as you like to our subscription lists.

Add this email address to a mailing list. (You get to choose the age after the click.)

Twitter

We also have a Twitter account (@amessoccer) that is primarily  used for weather notifications and to post such things to oure web site.  Follow us on Twitter and find out how to set up Twitter to send you push notifications or text messages when we send out a tweet here.

Text Message Lists

If we need to make a last minute field disclosure or game cancellation, we will send the information out by text message to your cell phone, since we know not everyone carries a smart phone or sits in front of a computer all day.  By default, we have added all cell phones from the registration files to our lists.

To add a phone number: Text "Start XX" to (319) 423-3988 where "XX" should be changed to "U6", "U8" etc. as appropriate.  Feel free to add your players' phones to the list!

To delete a phone number: Text "STOP" to (319) 423-3988.

  • U6 - serves U5 and U6 players
  • U8 - serves U7 and U8 players
  • U10 - serves U9 and U10 players
  • U12 - serves U11, U12, players
  • U14 - serves U13, U14 players
  • U18 - serves all high school aged teams

(Note that you should sign up by how "old" your team is, not how old the player is, should you be playing up.)
